Este curso es el fruto del proyecto E-NEEDD (European Network on Exchange Early Detection Drug Consumption) financiado por la Unión Europea en el que 11 instituciones de 5 países han estudiado los factores de riesgo psicosociales en la adición a las drogas en adolescentes (12 a 16 años), así como la detección y prevención de su consumo desde el ámbito escolar. El objetivo primordial del curso consiste en proporcionar al estudiante los conocimientos necesarios para detectar y prevenir conductas adictivas desde una perspectiva eminentemente psicosocial. Para satisfacer este objetivo, este curso analiza la prevalencia de diferentes trastornos adictivos y los factores de riesgo psicosociales que pueden favorecer su iniciación. Además, se proporciona una metodología específica para la detección precoz y se examinan diferentes programas de prevención del consumo de drogas y otros trastornos adictivos (adicciones tecnológicas a video juegos, móvil, redes sociales, televisión, vigorexia, consumo, juego patológico).

The Program intends preparing a comparative study of preventive interventions carried out in the participant countries as well as the identification and dissemination of the best practices, creating an early detection scale about drug-consumption, drawing up and evaluating a training program in relation to prevention and counselling regarding drug-consumption addressed to secondary school teachers and designing a web site for the diffusion of the contents related to the project.
The e-NEEDD has several of the objectives proposed in the strategy to combat drugs 2005-2012. In line with this strategy document, is considered essential to successfully preventing the school level, research and training of teachers and professionals working in education. E-NEEDD The project aims to be the seed of a stable group working to develop collaborative research projects, development of applied solutions and training in the field of drug prevention.
